1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CheckGhana ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations in the Republic of Ghana. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users of CheckGhana including registered businesses, investors, job seekers, reviewers and general visitors.

2. Platform Description

CheckGhana is a business verification and discovery platform that enables users to: • Register and verify Ghanaian businesses • Search and discover verified businesses • Submit and read business reviews • Access investment opportunities and job listings • Report suspected fraudulent businesses • Access business news, events and government notices CheckGhana acts as an intermediary platform and is not a party to transactions between users.

3. User Registration & Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to: • Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information • Maintain the security of your account credentials • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access • Not create accounts on behalf of others without authorisation • Not create multiple accounts for the same individual or business We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Business Registration & Verification

When submitting a business for registration on CheckGhana: • You confirm that you are authorised to represent the business • All information provided must be accurate and truthful • Supporting documents must be genuine and unaltered • Deliberately submitting false information may result in criminal referral under the Criminal Offences Act of Ghana CheckGhana's verification process does not constitute legal registration of a business. Official registration must be done through the Registrar General's Department.

5. Reviews & User Content

Reviews and comments submitted to CheckGhana must: • Reflect genuine first-hand experience • Not contain defamatory, harassing or abusive content • Not impersonate another person or organisation • Not contain commercially promotional content unless disclosed We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines. Businesses may dispute reviews through our formal dispute process.

6. Prohibited Activities

You must not: • Submit false, misleading or fraudulent business information • Manipulate review scores or engage in review fraud • Scrape, harvest or systematically collect platform data without written consent • Use the platform to facilitate money laundering, fraud or any illegal activity • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform • Interfere with the platform's operation, security or integrity Violations may result in immediate account termination and referral to Ghana law enforcement authorities.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on CheckGhana including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons and software is owned by or licensed to CheckGhana Limited and protected under Ghanaian and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from platform content without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

CheckGhana provides verification based on submitted documents and publicly available information. We do not guarantee the conduct, performance or financial standing of verified businesses. To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, CheckGhana shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages arising from use of the platform, including losses arising from reliance on business information or reviews.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent platform notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Last updated: April 2026
